Cactiez Iso Install

Thought I would drop an update and let everyone know that I did a complete audit of the packages included in the CD, and dropped the total installed packages from 305 to 252 (even after adding a few extras). There are still a few non-essential packages but possibly useful packages, so I left them. My only debate now is whether we really need over 5 different shells? This number may change before the next release, as I add and remove more default applications, but the CD is definitely shrinking in size at this time, which will make my webhost extremely happy!

Cactiez Iso Install

I should have a new beta up in the next few days (Monday?). Current Stats 291 MB ISO 248 Packages 770 MB Installed Major Changes Removed lots of unnecessary packages Nagios installed and 'preconfigured' Msyslog swapped out for Syslog-NG, and appropriate webmin module loaded NTop is still installed, but now not running by default (uses lots of memory and kinda redundant since you have netflow!) Shows IP Address at login screen Much prettier Webmin theme, removed all unnecessary modules Now built off the ServerCD so that it now contains more Raid drivers (Sans, etc.) Dropped support for old 486 through P2 systems. Major changes to Netflow collection (including dropped the MySQL database as it would get HUGE) Lots and lots and lots of minor changes Please note, there will NOT be an upgrade script to go from v0.1 to this CD. There are way too many changes to make it work correctly (and too time consuming for me, I have to feed my family too!), and it would probably break more installations than it would 'fix' (especially if you have customized it in anyway).

Install CactiEZ Extract the CactiEZ package and burn the ISO to a CD. Insert CD into computer / server and boot from it. Press enter to Start Install. Press enter again to reboot. CactiEZ is now Install! Your new CactiEZ server will grab a DHCP address by default. (Pretty easy huh?) 2. Configure the Sever.

Jimmy, Will there be a mysql backend to nagios? Or some other host management for nagios? -Edward Abbey. Hi, It was gr8 to see this product installed in seconds with the.iso file you have provided. The biggest factor i liked is netflow. I dont know much on how to integrate it with ntop but firstly now i will migrate to your version. I was previously running cacti on widows now as i saw the version you have build i would like to shift from widows to Linux. I have following questions now i need my existing database to be used.

Sample christmas program format. Early October and late January are great times to hold an annual appreciation party as you can find an increased availability of off-site venue options, save money on catering expenses, and potentially get better deals on party packages during this event off-season. Frederic Cirou / Getty Images Instead of defaulting to the annual Christmas or Thanksgiving party, why not consider hosting an event that's specifically for employee appreciation, when no other holiday is coming up on the company calendar?

So how do i go about it. & graphs I have just basic info on linux platform Would request you to help me in migrating from windows to Linux. _________________ Mayur. For this to work, you need to do the following things: 1. Backup your existing CACTI database on the Windows box. You can do this with phpMyAdmin, as it's much easier than from the command line.
