Bought a salmon pink Hohner Strat copy from a charity shop this morning. It has a maple neck, white scratchplate and 5 position switch. Its in good condition, and has 'Made In Japan' on the neck plate. It has a good feel, solid and a good weight. It just says 'Hohner' on the headstock. Hi everyone, first-time poster here. Hohner at least here in the UK did have a few price ranges, the LX which where just typical strat knockoffs the arbor series and your st lead pictured. Most of the arbor series guitars i've played where actually pretty decent players with good build and tones, never played an ST lead but if it plays nice enough the build should be fine.

My first guitar was an LX90 strat copy that I still have (modded to heck) and its still a great player and lightweight tone monster 17 years later, in fact its been through 2 refrets as thats how much I like it. Hohner is a German company, famous for their harmonicas, melodicas, accordions, etc. They have been in the guitar business for decades, but never built guitars themselves, instead having their guitars built in Korea for many years. They badged acoustic and electric instruments. Most of their stuff is decent playing, on the inexpensive side, with a few nicer instruments at the top of the range.

If your guitar has a solid wood body and sounds/plays well, consider it the equal of a well-built Korean Strat copy. They're still at it, but I'm not sure if the guitars are still Korean or if they are using Chinese and Indonesian subcontractors as well.
